An Evening of Career Networking @ Union Square

nuss.meetingplace.com.sg has just wrapped up a very successful, 100% sold-out, Career networking event "Getting Ready for the Upturn", at Union Square @ The Amara on 24 Nov 09.

A strategic mix of corporate guests - ranging from executive search & headhunting firms, as well as direct MNC and SME employers were invited. They shared their perspectives & insights on career transitions and strategies in this current economic upturn.

More than 100 graduate jobseekers gathered to learn, network & connect with our corporate guests and with each other. Many walked away with useful contacts, while others stayed back to party to the hot Salsa & Merengue music provided by the Latino live band from Colombia.

Fun with Family & Friends – Jun 27 at the Singapore Discovery Centre

To all who came for the event, we hope you, your family and friends had a great time bonding together at the Singapore Discovery Centre last Saturday. More than 200 people attended the event.

To all who sponsored students & their families from the Students Care Service (SCS), making it possible for them to enjoy an afternoon of fun as a family unit, we want to say a BIG THANK YOU for your kindness and generosity!

More than 120 students & their families from the Students Care Service thoroughly enjoyed themselves that afternoon. They arrived at noon, had a wonderful catered lunch by the beautiful lake, were treated to a highly entertaining magic show performance, sculptured balloons, games & fun, music & prizes, before spending a free and easy time, as family units, enjoying the many attractions at the Singapore Discovery Centre.

With the combined help from our corporate partners MobileOne Ltd (M1) and NTUC Fairprice Foundation Ltd, we also managed to give away NTUC Fairprice vouchers to each of the families from SCS.

So together, those who came & joined us for the event, those who gave generously to make it possible for others to go, our corporate partners with their kind gifts and collaboration, those who graced the occasion with their kind words, we say

for being a blessing and for making a difference!

We had fun organizing it, and making this happen! It was worth all the hard effort!

‘Street Kings & Queens’ 2009

The Heeren, Orchard Road!

Having street-smarts was what it took to stand out and win at the “Street Kings & Queens” Challenge held at The Heeren on 29 May 2009! Contestants came, they raced against time and against each other, they searched for answers to the clues throughout the mall and got the chance to dress in the latest Street-wear and also paraded these attires for all to see. And when the dust settled, 3 teams emerged the winners and won over $1000 worth of vouchers and attractive prizes.

Alongside the Street Kings & Queens Challenge, we had 10 young gorgeous ladies taking part in the ZA Makeup competition. Before the contest proper, they got useful tips from the ZA beauty consultants on the correct application techniques for ZA’s latest Summer eye makeup, and 3 lucky ladies walk away with over $200 worth of ZA make-up hampers.

It was a night of fun, fabulous people and fantastic prizes! All of these could not have happened without YOU so...
